Often we manufacture castings for porcelain fused to metal (PFM) prosthetics. Cobalt chrome is unsuitable for such work, so other metals are employed. The four commonly used metals are high and low-gold alloys and alloys of silver-palladium. Our PFM work is all cast in nickel chrome.

Most of our nickel chrome castings take the form of Maryland and Rochette bridge frames. These are typically cast in Nicor ® nickel chrome alloy from Schütz Labortechnik, the metal content of which is laid out in the table below.
